What is CBD Oil?
CBD is found naturally from a plant associated with cannabis, there are mainly two types of plant found to harvest CBD components and these are given below.
- Hemp plant
- Marijuana plant
Marijuana is a psychoactive recreational purpose driven product. However, Hemp is not marijuana. It does contain a minimal amount of THC less than 0.3% and is usually grown and used in industries. Thus, it may not be a desirable source of CBD. Many CBD products may be derived from this industrial kind of hemp. However, our CBD oil is derived from PCR Hemp. PCR Hemp is called phytocannabinoids and is 10 times richer than the regular industrial hemp concentration. PCR Hemp is a beneficial product with minimal to no THC. Also this type of CBD oil does not cause you to get high.
To go a little further with our products, we have both Full spectrum and Broad spectrum oil. When our PCR hemp is extracted, it contains terpenes and other cannabinoid compounds, like CBD. This extraction contains a natural balance of cannabinoids and terpenes found in the plant- this is called Full Spectrum CBD oil (< 0.3% THC).
The Broad spectrums are Full spectrum oils with all the same benefits of the Full spectrums but have removed all the traces of THC, thus 0.0% THC. Our Broad spectrum tinctures have gone through USDA organic certified chromatography process to remove THC. This process is an expensive and unique process. Thus, our authentic USDA organic spectrum CBD products are so rare.
How CBD Works / Interacts with our body ECS.
Our own body has the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is a powerful network of neurotransmitters and receptors that maintain our body’s function. This system works to maintain balance between our body, mind, and spirit.
ECS maintains your body’s homeostasis and plays an integral role for the whole body and brain. ECS helps your internal organs to perform their functions and ensure the smooth running of your body. Since our brain doesn’t connect with every cell of our body, it uses neurotransmitters to function as these sensors. Our body uses sensors to signal between the nervous system and brain-thus, allowing our body’s ECS to maintain balance.
Endocannabinoids are naturally occurring signaling molecules called neurotransmitters found in our ECS. They interact with receptors found on the surface of cells in our body to function at each specific job. It also controls the power or energy grid of the body which is linked to reach in every cell and tissue, generally known as endogenous cannabinoids or endocannabinoids.
Human ECS has 2 components- One of the most important components is called anandamide - often used as “happy hormones”. It is responsible for production and reuptake of serotonin, which are directly related to moods. CBD has an effect on anandamide component causing similar effects of increased serotonin levels and providing enhancement of our mood. When you have low levels of serotonin, your mood and energy level might be low. CBD acts on naturally occurring anandamide receptors and increases “happy hormone” to balance our ECS.
ECS controls some of these major areas of our body listed below :
- Body organs control
- Inflammation
- Mood and emotion
- Behavior motivation
- Immune system function
- Physical sensation
